Pollença against animal circuses

In September the circus “ Roma Dola” came to Pollensa again, a circus that has been denounced several times for animal abuse and also for the lack of security that they have. More than 50 municipalities in Spain have banned circuses with animals. In Mallorca we have Esporles, Puigpunyet, Palma, Soller and Valldemosa,we are hoping to be the next in the line to do so. In the next plenary session we are presenting a motion against circuses with animals,it was already proposed in 2008, but did not have sufficient quorum. We hope that this new goverment group have more sensitivity with animals. We are also collecting signatures for this purpose and one of the places you can find this document to sign is in “Pension Bellavista” in the Port, we have until next Thursday to sign as then it has to be presented to the government team before the plenary session.

Last Thursday Pollença lived up to beeing a animal friendly town and is now the seventh municipality in Mallorca to be declared free from circuses with animals. The result was greeted with great excitement and a great joy for all us animal lovers.
